They told us.....

They told us that everything is fair,
But for us things that’s free is only air,
They told us they will definitely care
But they don’t see it even we light up the flare

They told us that life is peace and good
But we all got nothing under the hood
They told us that there’s no need to scream
But they left the dough after they ate all the creams

They told us not to spend but to save
But every price is high we had to work like a slave
They told us that we can share the slices
But after all, we are the one who pays for the prices

They told us we have right to object
But everything that we proposed, they will reject
They told us that we had to obey the law
But when it comes to them, looks like regulations is flaw

They told us in them we can trust
But everything they did, is only based on their lust
They told us we will prosper this land together
But what they did is like this country is ownership of their father

They told us there are sacrifices that we had to take
But at the end, they are the one who took the bigger stake
They told us to be faithful and not to betray
But if anything happened, they are the first to run away

They told us that they would not let us cry
But actually they’re letting us die……….
